Programming is not very difficult to understand. Programming is something very easy to learn as resources are available everywhere. But to get started there are few things that should be kept in mind.

1. Selecting a suitable language

Though resources for programming are available everywhere you should be sure about which programming language you want to learn. The best way to choose a programming language is by collecting data either by researching or taking feedback from the ones who are good at it which can be a friend or a professor at college. If you want to learn easy and steady you can start with HTML and CSS so that you can have a basic website.

2. Gathering resource materials

Once you select your programming language start gathering resources to learn. If you want to learn taking an online class can be the best option if not you can also find videos/tutorials online. Youtube can be one of the platforms where you can find free resources for your desired programming language. If you want to understand it in a more detailed form article is also a good option to go with as it is available free. Linkedin Learning, Udemy is the best option available for online classes if you are willing to spend some money.

3. Start doing projects.

After you find a suitable course to learn start doing projects. You will not be able to learn to program unless you try it for yourself. The best way to learn is to keep practicing the new thing. Doing exercises from the online courses and trying out coding games can be the best way to learn to program. After doing some projects you will get familiar with code implementation and can do some of your projects which can be huge assets in your career. After you feel confident about your skill start your project.

4. Get yourself a mentor

After you try out some of your projects you’ll need someone who can give you some suggestions or feedback on what to improve. So, its best option is to get yourself a mentor. A mentor is anyone in that field who can evaluate your work and can provide feedback, they can be your senior or junior who is experienced or expert. As many people are willing to help to find a mentor shouldn’t be difficult. After finding a mentor note your weak parts and try to improve those.

5.Check out other programming languages

if you find programming language interesting there is always something new to learn so you can also check out other programming languages and do some interesting stuff. As the world is slowly growing digital learning new languages helps you to get creative ideas for your projects. After getting familiar with a programming language it’s not difficult to learn a new one as they are somehow similar in logic but require different implementation.
